Building collapses yet again in Thane, 1 killed
Thane, July 4: One person was killed while many were injured in yet another building collapse in Maharashtra midnight on Wednesday. The ill-fated two-storey building located in Bhiwandi near Thane housed a garment factory.
Additional police commissioner Himmat Rao Deshbhartar said 45 people were working inside the building when the accident occurred. While 25 people were rescued, 15 were still feared to be trapped in the debris when the last reports came in.

One of the survivors said an illegal construction was underway on the third floor when the three-year-old building caved in.
The workers, most of whom are migrants, jumped to save their lives when the building collapsed, reports said.
Rescue operation was still on at the accident site.
Seventy-four people were killed after a seven-storey building collapsed in Thane suburb on April 4 this year.
