Indians killed in Kabul featured 2 from AP, 1 from Bengal

"I do regret to inform you that yesterday morning in the course of an attack on a housing compound in Kabul which housed foreigners, three Indian nationals were killed.
The three were- Gilaji Sandeep, working as a waiter, Gurudi Naveen Kumar, the front office manager (both from Andhra Pradesh) and Chakraborty Kaushik, a laundry manager, from West Bengal," spokesperson in the External Affairs Ministry said.
They were among more than 50 Indian nationals who were working there through a contractor, he said, adding they were providing various services at the housing compound.
"Our Embassy is in touch with their employer to try and assist them in completing the legal formalities and the medical formalities before they repatriate the dead bodies back to their hometowns.
The rest of the Indian nationals are safe but obviously shocked by the attack," he added.
The Taliban truck bomb and gun attack killed at least nine people yesterday and the entrance to the NATO supply company compound was destroyed in the assault.
The group provides many NATO bases with food, water, fuel and other supplies, as well as maintaining military storage buildings and accommodation.
Its compound is close to UN offices and several NATO bases. A British national was also killed in the suicide attack. Media reports also said that there were other foreigners among those killed.
