Punjab
Amritsar, June 22: About 122 Sikh devotees today crossed over to Pakistan through a special train from the international Attari/Wagah railway station.

The pilgrims went to Pakistan to observe the death anniversary of Sikh emperor Mahraja Ranjit Singh at Lahore, where a big fort made during his life time still exists and is being maintained by the Pakistani Government.

The pilgrims were sent to Pakistan by the SGPC (Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee). The devotees would remain Pakistan till June 29 and would return to India on June 30 after paying obeisance at various Sikh shrines located at the different provinces of Pakistan.
