IPL Fixing: More evidence against Gurunath Meiyappan

Chennai, May 27: A team of Mumbai Police raided Gurunath Meiyappan's residence in Chennai for eight hours on Sunday, May 26. The team was learnt to have gathered more evidence against Meiyappan who has been arrested over his alleged link in IPL spot fixing scandal.

According to reports, police found his visiting cards that identify him as Team Principal, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) stationary and merchandise. Contrary to evidences, owner of CSK -- India Cements and Meiyappan's father-in-law N Srinivasan, BCCI chief, said he was neither team principal nor CEO.

BCCI also suspended Meiyappan from all kind of associations with cricket till investigation is on over IPL spot fixing.

Meanwhile, sources said Meiyappan and arrested Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh named a Chennai hotelier who also allegedly was involved in the scandal.

Meiyappan was learnt to have informed that the hotelier is also a key link to some Bollywood celebrities. Earlier police sources had informed that more arrests might likely to take place post final match of IPL 6. Hence, it might be expected that some more shocking revelations might be unveiled now as investigation in the fixing scandal is getting murkier day by day.
