23-year-old Geetika Sharma suicide case now has become a case of sexual offence case, henceforth, the victim's name can not be mentioned.

The case has been sent for trial before the fast track court dealing with sexual offence cases. The session court has fixed the matter for May 27 for recording of prosecution evidence.

Geetika, a former employer of now-defunct MDLR airlines owned by Kanda, had committed suicide on Aug 5, 2012. She left two suicide notes accusing Kanda and Chaddha of harassing her. Six months later her mother Anuradha too killed self in the same room of their apartment in North Delhi on Feb 15. In her suicide notes, she too had blamed Kanda and Chaddha for driving her daughter to commit suicide.

Kanda was forced to step down from his position in mister of state in home affairs. Later both Chaddha and the former minister were arrested by Delhi police in Aug 2012.
