Mona Singh MMS Video Clip: TV actress defeats culprit

, April 2: TV serial actress Mona Singh seems to have won the first round of battle against the culprit(s) who uploaded a morphed video of her nude images.

Mumbai police on Monday, April 1 confirmed that Mona Singh's face was morphed in the video which had gone viral on internet and on several social networking sites. The cyber crime cell of the Mumbai police sought help of the digital experts and cyber forensic experts at the Cyber Lab.

After their investigation, the experts claimed that the MMS video clip was superimposed and one of the two videos was five-to-six years old.

Speaking about the progress of probe, Mumbai police officials were quoted as saying, "We have found two such clips. But it is five to six years old. They are finding out the link and the person who uploaded the MMS."

Meanwhile, the TV actress said, "We are now working towards pulling out the online videos. We have written to various portals. There are at least 30 more sites that have to block the video."

Earlier Mumbai police, who are investigating into the case, suspected that the culprit(s) is known to the Bollywood actress who claimed that her face was morphed in the video.

A police official on Saturday, March 30 was quoted as saying, "We suspect involvement of some local elements and we are trying to trace the IP address of the computer from where it was uploaded." \

A case against unknown person(s) has been registered under the Information Technology Act. Mona, who is well-known over her TV serial Jassi Jaisi Koi Nehi and Aamir Khan's movie 3 Idiots, claimed that the obscene video was a morphed one.
