Rajinikanth condoles Bal Thackeray's death
Chennai, Nov 18: Kollywood icon Rajinikanth released a handwritten note, condoling the demise of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray yesterday.
The megastar of Tamil cinema shared a close relationship with the Hindu Hriday Samraat who always stressed that the Marathi manoos should get their due in Mumbai.
Incidentally, Rajinikanth is Maharashtrian by birth. His actual name is Shivaji Rao Gaikwad. In the note, he described Bal Thackeray as a "father figure to many, including me".
The actor expressed condolences to all the family members and followers of the Shiv Sena patriarch. "My prayers for his soul to rest in peace ...," he added.
