Bidushi Dash Barde was found dead in her Mumbai apartment on Tuesday, Oct 24. Police are suspecting that the 23-year-old model was murdered, as her body bore injury marks inflicted with a sharp weapon.

It was her husband Kedar who first saw the unconscious body of Bidushi in a pool of blood . He then rushed her to a hospital, where she was declared brought dead.

Sources at police say that it was a clear case of murder. They have ruled out robbery as the motive behind the murder, as no valuable from the house was missing. Moreover, police also say that the killer is known to the model, as there were no signs of forceful entry into her apartment.

Bidushi was a native of Odisha and brought up in Chennai. According to Bidushi's father, who is an Air Force official, his daughter had also worked in a number of South Indian films.

The postmortem report showed she was stabbed, following which police registered a murder case. According to police sources, a neighbour told the investigators that she had seen a man at her house for a while on Monday afternoon. Kedar and Bidushi had a love marriage three years ago and they moved to Mumbai one and half years ago. Police collected CCTV footage from the building.
