Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad, Sept 4: Another techie from Andhra Pradesh met with a tragic end as he died during a fun swim in a stream in New York, US.

It seems that after Infosys employee Neelima's suicide, death continues to haunt the software engineers in the state as this was the third case that grabbed the headlines in the recent past.

25-year-old Podapati Raja Chowdary, a resident of Addanki in Prakasam district in Andhra, drowned on Saturday, Sept 1 when he was swimming along with eleven friends.

According to sources, Chowdary drowned as he went deeper into the stream and shouted for help. His friends tried to rescue him but failed. Later, two of his friends somehow managed to get him out and rushed him to a near by hospital. Unfortunately, the doctors declared him brought dead.

Though the techie died on Saturday, his family members were informed about his death only on Monday. Police claimed that it was an accidental death.

Chowdary completed his engineering in 2010 and went to the States after getting a job. His father Podapati Mohan Rao is a TDP leader.

Chowdary's death news surfaced just a day after the news that another engineer - 30-year-old Immadi Anil Kumar had allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison just after his return from US.

Anil was found dead in his car at Kukatpally, a major residential and commercial suburb in Hyderabad. Police discovered a suicide note in the car written by Anil which stated, "I am ending my life as life was not convenient as I had desired."

Hyderabad police registered a case of suicide and efforts were being made to hand over the body to his family members in Guntur.

Sources informed that Anil returned from US on Saturday and checked in a hotel in the city. His close family members and friends were shocked as they had no idea what compelled the young techie to take the extreme step of ending his life.

Recently, Neelima's suicide created controversy. 27-year-old Neelima committed suicide inside the office premise on Jul 31. Her family members initially claimed that it was a case of murder. However, later they approached the police urging them to end their investigation. [Read: Reasons behind Infosys employee Neelima's death revealed]
