PDP always indulged in conspiracies to grab power: NC

Jammu, Jun 30: The ruling National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir today alleged People's Democratic Party has always indulged in "politics of conspiracies to grab power".

"PDP and its leadership have always indulged in politics of conspiracies and deceit for petty political gains in a bid to grab power," Devinder Rana, Political Advisor to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, said at a public meeting in Rajouri.

He said it was the "murder of democracy" in 1984 when the Farooq Abdullah government was dismissed by the Governor and Gulam Mohidden Shah appointed as the Chief Minister.

Rana said while the PDP leadership today is crying hoarse about the power crises, during their three year tenure they did not initiated even a single power project which could have helped to improve the power scenario in the state.
