Hyderabad: Fire breaks out at Pranab's campaign venue

in Hyderabad on Sunday, Jul 1.

Mr Mukherjee on Sunday campaigned for his candidature for the upcoming presidential poll in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Fire broke out in the stationery room of the hall shortly after Mr Mukherjee left the venue.

Mr Mukherjee Visited Jubilee Hall to attend a meeting of the Legislature Party of the state Congress. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy too was present at the venue.

Fire brigades were rushed to the place to douse the blaze. No injuries and casualties have been reported yet.

During his campaigning in Hyderabad, Mr Mukherjee was welcomed by a group of pro-Telangana agitators who planned to stop his convoy but could not succeed in their mission though.

Police intervened and foiled their plan to stop Mr Mukherjee. The agitators with 'Jai Telangana' slogans wanted to know Mr Mukherjee's stand on their demand of separate statehood of Telangana.
