Was Lashkar planning an aerial attack on India?

New Delhi, Jun 30: With the stunning revelations by 26/11 handler and Lashkar-e-Toiba operative Abu Jundal giving investigative agencies more insight on the Mumbai terror attacks and other terror acts across the country, the latest shocker from Jundal divulges Lashkar's plans to launch an aerial attack on India and added that the terror group have been training men for this purpose since the last two years.

The brain behind the worst terror attack to strike India in recent times, the revelation has stunned investigative agencies. Jundal's disclosure on the existence of a paragliding camp in Muzaffarabad that was also the purported training base of Lashkar, where the terror group made plans to carry out aerial strikes on Indian soil.

Jundal has disclosed that the training camp has been functional since the last two years and it is also a part of the training module for new LeT recruits. The camp has been using the service of a professional paraglider from Baltistan in north Pakistan to train the recruits. He also arranged all the equipment for the same.

The fact that the Delhi police had received earlier alerts on the possibility of aerial attacks ahead of the Commonwealth Games validated Jundal's claims. The then Delhi Poilce Commissioner had issued orders for heightened alert during the course of the mega sporting event.

With everyday revealing more and more on the devious plans of terror groups trying to cause harm to India, Jundal is sure to be an important link for the country to know the inside working of the famed terror outfit - the Lashkar-e-Toiba.
