Kanpur Income Tax Commissioner arrested on graft charges

Kanpur, Jun 4: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the Income Tax Commissioner of Kanpur, Kunal Singh. He has been arrested near Noida. He was arrested on various corruption charges.

Singh is part of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and was arrested along with three other senior tax officials. They have been charged with accepting bribes from the head of a real estate company named Eldeco. The Managing Director of the company, Pankaj Bajaj, has also been arrested.
