Fast planned to allow entry for Singer Yesudas in Guruvayoor

The group protesting is called the Janaseva Munnani, and is a charitable organisation which has announced a fast in front of the renowned temple demanding a go-ahead for the singer to enter the temple. The Munnani president Soman Pillai stated that as many as 10 persons would join him on a token fast on May 1.
The protestors have threatened that the fast will be prolonged if the temple authorities fail to relent to their demands. Pillai said, “The songs of Yesudas praising Lord Sree Krishna are enjoyed by all, including those who were against his entry.”
Yesudas’ devotional songs enjoy pride of place across the globe. He is also given entry into the Kollur Mookambika temple in Karnataka where he has been performing for the last 30 years on his birthday year after year.
