Chopped body parts of Bollywood actress found in Allahabad

Mumbai, Apr 18: Bollywood actress Meenakshi Thapa's chopped body parts have been found in Allahabad. Mumbai police revealed the news on Wednesday, Apr 18.

Earlier on Monday, police arrested Preeti and Amit - the two main accused of the murder case. According to police sources, the body parts were dumped in a water tank near Preeti's house in Allahabad.

Preeti and Amit allegedly lured Meenakshi to get a role of heroine in a Bhojpuri film and thus the model and an aspiring actress (Meenakshi) had gone to Allahabad along with the two accused.

Preeti and Amit, according to police, were under the impression that Meenakshi was from a wealthy family and her family members would not hesitate to give any amount of money if they kidnap her.

However, the duo ultimately killed Meenakshi brutally and to confuse the investigative officials about Meenakshi's identification, they beheaded the actress, said police sources.

Meenakshi hailed from Nepal and completed her higher studies in Dehradun. She was quite popular as a model during her college days and finally reached Mumbai with a dream to become a top class actress. However, she ended up doing roles in Bollywood movies as junior actress.
