Karnataka: BS Yeddyurappa feels like a servant in BJP
"I did feel powerful once but now I have realised my position in the party. I am not a king but only a servant," he said.
"I have worked for the welfare of the people of the state for the past 40 years without any position. There's no need to attach a great deal of significance to my tour of drought-hit districts. As a former CM, it is my duty to respond to the problems of the people in districts reeling under severe drought," he said.
When questioned about his supporters demanding a suitable position for him in the party, he said, "This is their wish, not mine. I have not opened my mouth as the party high command has advised me to be silent."
On Chief Minister DV Gowda sacking his media advisor RP Jagadeesh, he said," The CM is at liberty to opt for anyone of his choice. I am not going to interfere in this matter."
