Opposition slams Dinesh Trivedi's railway budget

Railway Budget
New Delhi, Mar 14: The opposition on Wednesday, Mar 14 slammed the railway budget saying that the marginal fare hike would cause a burden on the aam-aadmi (common people).

Reacting to Dinesh Trivedi's railway budget, the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the railway minister only tabled a futuristic budget and there was nothing concrete offered in terms of railway safety.

Nitish Kumar, who was Railway Minister during former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee regime also termed budget speech as disappointing. He also added that the Trivedi has given much important to high class facilities without coming to basic requirement of the common people.

Moreover, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Actor Shatrughan Sinha termed the Trivedi budget as proxy rail budget as it did not mention any deadline to complete the proposed projects.
