SP sacks Akhilesh Yadav's aide for anti-party activities

Lucknow, Mar 12: Samajwadi Party has sacked its National Secretary Rajiv Rai from the post following charges that he was involved in anti-party activities and working against the policies of the party.

Sources said that Rajiv Rai was sacked from his post after a statement made by him on Mar 11 miffed the Samajwadi Party founder member Azam Khan.

In a post-sacking release, party has made it clear that Rai allegedly gave statements on behalf of the party, due to which he has been sacked.

Moreover, SP also clarified that Rajendra Chowdhury has been authorised to issue statements on behalf of SP before media as its spokesman.
