TN: Karunanidhi's security guards in assets case?

Chennai, Mar 2: Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's personal guards' premises were raided on Friday, Mar 2 by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) officers in connection with a disproportionate assets case.

According to DVAC sources, raids were conducted at six places including securities-Pandian, Ganesan and Vinothan's properties and that of those who brought properties from them. While the vigilance officers haven't found Karunanidhi's name connection in the assets case but investigation is going on.

During Jayalalithaa's regime, several Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leaders and former Ministers apart from MLAs have faced police and DVAC for their involvement in corruption cases either in land grab or in disproportionate assets cases.
