Jammu & Kashmir: Syed Geelani having links with LeT?

Syed Ali Shah Geelani
New Delhi, March 2: A recommendation letter was given to the Lashkar-e-Toiba militant Athesham Malik by the Pro-Pakistan hardliner Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

Delhi Police arrested Malik for getting a Pakistani Visa. According to the official sources, a copy of recommendation was found in the papers seized from Malik.

Sources divulged that Malik had undergone a training in Pakistan in 2011.

In 2007, Malik was associated with Laskha in Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir and was arrested along with two others.

Ayaz Akbar, spokesperson for Geelani, has been quoted as saying that, "we don't know about this case. But generally, if any Kashmiri comes to Geelani sahab for recommendation, he gives his recommendation only because they being Kashmiri. But then how can he know why he wants to go there and what his motive is?"
