Hema Malini
Bangalore, Mar 2: BJP Rajya Sabha members Hema Malini and KB Shanappa will retire on April 2. The ruling BJP is facing crisis over the selection of candidates for the biennial elections to the Rajya Sabha, which will be conducted at the end of March, as reported by CNN-IBN.

While the ruling party have not taken any formal decision on the candidates, former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and Current Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda are supporting senior party leader V Dhananjaya Kumar, though it may face opposition from national general secretary Ananth Kumar.

Hema Malini has refused to contest from Karnataka and is expected to have sought a slot from Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, the party is ready to send two of its candidates - general secretary Dharmendra Pradhan and spokesperson Nirmala Seetharaman to the Rajya Sabha.
