Kingfisher staff worsen Mallya's woes over salary payment

Kingfisher Airlines
New Delhi, Mar 1: Vijay Mallya's woes worsened after the Kingfisher staff protested outside the Indira Gandhi International Airport over the non-payment of salaries to them.

The staff have not been paid their salaries since Dec 2011 owing to the freezing of bank account of the cash-stripped airlines.

Vijay Mallya, earlier in a letter addressed to his employees, regretted that the airline could not pay the salaries to them, but assured that they would be paid their dues soon.

Meanwhile, the liquor baron also said that two international airlines were ready to invest in Kingfisher airlines that would help ease the woes of the ailing airlines.
