Kolkata: Didi's nephew shows dadagiri on police, arrested

Kolkata, Feb 29: It seems that Mamata Banerjee, who is well-known as Didi, had landed in trouble when her nephew Akash Banerjee has been arrested over showing dadagiri. Mr Banerjee on Wednesday, Feb 29 has been arrested as he allegedly slapped a police constable who was on duty at the time of the incident.

According to eyewitnesses, the accused was driving his car on the wrong side of road. After being stopped by the traffic constable, Mr Banerjee who claimed to be Mamata's nephew, hurled slang on the cop and slapped him.

The incident occurred at around 11 am on Wednesday and Kolkata police arrested two other people along with Mr Banerjee over the charges of rash driving.

However, police officials refused to disclose any information regarding the incident. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress (TMC) sources claimed that it was a normal incident and media has been going overhyped in covering the incident.
