Shehla Masood's murderer killed; BJP MLA to be arrested?

Bhopal, Feb 29: Adding more suspense to the controversial murder case of the RTI activist Shehla Masood, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) informed that the contract killer, who was hired to kill her (Shehla) has also been murdered. The hired hitman is believed to have been killed in Kanpur.

The murder case once again caught all attention as CBI along with Bhopal police on Tuesday, Feb 28 arrested a woman architect and two others and claimed that they have finally cracked the murder case.

The CBI informed that more arrests will be reported soon and a BJP MLA, whose identification has not yet been revealed, is to be arrested. Zahida Pervez along with two other persons was taken under police custody following a massive interrogation.

According to sources, Zahida allegedly hired contract killers and instructed them to kill Shehla as she (Zahida) suspected her husband of having an illicit relationship with Shehla. Zahida gave Rs 3 lakh to the hired hitman.

39-year-old Shehla, an RTI activist was a strong supporter of Anna Hazare and was an active member of India Against Corruption (IAC). Shehla was shot dead in Bhopal on Aug 16, 2011.

"I thank God. I have come to know through media reports. No one has officially told me about the arrest," said Shehla's father after citing the latest development in the case.
