Tamilians' love for Jayalalithaa, celebrating her birthday

Trichy, Feb 24: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa along with her party is celebrating her birthday on Friday, Feb 24 in a simple manner, while a free mega medical camp and several other programmes in Somarasampettai in Srirangam constituency have been organised to celebrate her birthday.

The Apollo hospitals in Madurai has organised a one-day camp in the premises of the Government Higher Secondary School. During the programme, over 150 doctors and 300 paramedical staff will be available.

On Thursday, Feb 23 the members of AIADMK began celebrations with both men and women members gathering together in temples to pray for the welfare of Amma (as she is fondly addressed). A procession was carried out by the members of Trichy district women's wing, bringing milk for worship at the Sri Vekkaliamman temple in Woraiyur in Trichy.
