Karunanidhi to celebrate Jayalalithaa's 64th B'Day today?

Chennai, Feb 24: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa celebrated her 64th birthday on Friday, Feb 24. Her party workers, especially in Chennai and in Madurai organised special programmes to greet the CM. However, many started speculating - will M Karunanidhi join the celebration?

Karunanidhi, the DMK supremo and an ardent protester of Jayalalithaa, lost his power when the AIADMK chief won the assembly election in 2011. It was a massive loss for DMK which has been facing the wrath of the CM till date.

Here it can be mentioned that Jayalalithaa requested her followers and party workers not to celebrate in a grand manner. However, the AIADMK workers organised a small cake-cutting ceremony at 10:30 am.

Jayalalithaa, ahead of her birthday, was quoted as saying, "Winning all the 40 seats in the coming Lok Sabha polls would be the best present my dear partymen you can give me and I request you to start working towards this goal."
