NIA conspired Samjhauta blast, alleges Aseemanand

New Delhi, Feb 22: The main accused Samjhauta blast case, Swami Aseemanand has appeared before the court on Wednesday, Feb 22, said that he doesn't know Kamal Chauhan, a bomb planter.

In the court, he alleged National Investigative Agency ( NIA) as the conspirator in the blast.

A NIA team led by the deputy superintendent of police, Devendra Singh went to Kamal’s house on Tuesday and met his father Radheshyam to conduct a search at his house who has been accused of planting a bomb in Samjhauta Express.

The local newspaper DNA quoted NIA as saying, "We were trying to gather clues that would support our case." The team seized some documents claiming Kamal's educational and personal life.

NIA arrested Kamal on the grounds of suspicion for his involvement in the Samjhauta blast that connected India and Pakistan in 2007. The incident took away the lives of 68 persons.

Since Apr 2010, the agency was keeping a watch on his activities. While he was found missing during another blasts.

Meanwhile, the team said that they have found some clues that can help them in the investigation "More people are expected to fall into the NIA net after this search," said a senior officer of the NIA.
