Fishermen killing row:Italian marines to face court martial?

Kochi, Feb 22: Italian diplomats has started the process to court martial the two naval guards of Italian cargo ship Entrica Lexie, who allegedly shot dead two Indian fishermen off the Kerala coast on Wednesday, Feb 15.

Sources said that Italian envoy has informed the Kerala police about court martial when it sought to examine weapons used to fire at the fishermen from on board Enrica Lexie.

Moreover, Italian diplomates made it clear that they could not hand over the weapons to cops as they wanted to be taken to Italy in link with the court-martial.

Meanwhile, Kerala police are doubting the court martial . A murder case was registered against two sailors namely Latorre Massimiliano and Salvatore Girone at Neendakara costal police station, Kerala.
