Former CPM MLA Pradipto killed by TMC partymen

Burdwan (WB), Feb 22: Former CPM MLA Pradipto was beaten to death by TMC men at Burdwan town spiking the incidence of violence in the state. Another CPI (M) leader Kamal Gayen has also been reported to be assaulted and beaten to death after violence erupted between TMC workers and CPM members during the course of a rally.

The incident occurred when the CPM was carrying out a rally in support of an industrial strike. Both the Cong and BJP has condemned the heinous act, with the CPM alleging that it was Mamata Banerjee's government that was the reason for the fresh incidence of violence.
