Assets case: Sasikala protecting Jayalalithaa?

In the court, Sasikala denied Jayalalithaa's involvement in the case, adding that, she said "Jayalalithaa is not involved in the affairs of partnership. I alone operated the bank account. Jaya was a partner but not involved in affairs. I take blame for some of the things."
Accused Sasikala said that the Jaya publication was operated by her and Jayalalithaa was just her partner for that firm.
However, Jayalalithaa expelled Sasikala and 11 of her relatives from the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party.
During Jayalalithaa's regime in 1991-1996, she was accused for accumulating assets worth Rs 60 crore disproportionate to her known sources of income.
