Jayalalithaa's anger unabated; 2 ex-DMK Ministers raided

KR Periakaruppan was the minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment when the DMK was in power. Complaints were filed earlier against him and his family over alleged claims that he had accumulated disproportionate assets during his term in office.
It is reported in local channels that Periyakaruppan's properties in Aralikottai, Tirupattur, as well as houses in Chennai is under the DVAC radar. Raids are being carried out there currently. It is also known that his benami houses in Karaikudi and Palathur are also facing raids. He also has a pawn shop in Natham, Dindigul district in his name that is being scrutinized by the DVAC.
Earlier on Feb 1, DVAC had raided the residence of another former DMK Minister NKKP Raja, his father and relative's houses.
