Andhra Pradesh CM to fill Telangana vacancies
The ministers who resigned are Konda Surekha, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Jupalli Krishna Rao.
Sources revealed that this is a reward given to the T-Congress MLAs for keeping quiet on Telangana issue and cooperating with the government and the party.
According to sources, the CM wants the process to be carried out in the first week of Feb and is waiting for an appointment with AICC General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad and party president Sonia Gandhi to finalise the mini-expansion.
However, there is less competition as the eligible candidates from T-Congress are fewer.
"But, this is bound to generate an ill-feeling among the senior MLCs who are already feeling humiliated due to lack of representation from the region in the house committees. All committees have as chairmen either renominated Andhra MLCs or first timers," said a senior MLA.
