Setback for Kiran Kumar Reddy, PM cancels AP visit

Hyderabad, Jan 29: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday, Jan 29 postponed his visit to Andhra Pradesh. CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has invited PM to distributing appointment letters to one lakh unemployed youths and setting the foundation for the Hyderabad Metro Rail project, which was fixed to be on Feb 4.

Sources from General Administra-tion Department (GAD) revealed that the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has cited the visit of foreign dignitaries to New Delhi as reason for the postponement of PM’s tour.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy had made an elaborate arrangements for Dr Singh's visit on Fed 4. But, it seems CM's all efforts goes in vain.

Moreover, PM has cancelled his visit to AP for second time this month. Earlier, Dr Singh was supposed to inaugurate the Partnership Summit, which was held at HICC from Jan 11 to 13 and the CM had planned the RYK programme with the PM at Gachibowli then. But that trip too had been cancelled suddenly.

After that AP CM had been successful in convincing PM to unveil thec RYK and the Hyderabad Metro Rail projecton. Furthermore, AP govt had officially announced last week that the PM would launch both projects on Feb 4.
