Lending support to battered baby girl: Sheila Dikshit

New Delhi, Jan 27: Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit on Friday offered all possible support to the two-year-old baby girl, who was badly bruised and battered.

"The Delhi government will support whatever her (the infant's) needs are, we will fulfill her needs. We are waiting for the medical report, let it come," she said.

The incident shocked the whole nation. Falak, the victim is recovering, but doctors say that her chances of survival is only 50 per cent.

Mahi Gupta, a 15-year-old girl brought the child to AIIMS in an unconscious state.The teenage girl claimed to be her mother. The child is suffering from multiple injuries on her head and body. Human bite marks were also found on the child's body.

"The baby is still unconscious, but she is moving her limbs now," a doctor diagnosing the kid said.
