Bomb scare in Chandni Chawk station, Delhi Metro stopped
The latest news over bomb scare in Delhi Metro surfaced when the popular news agency - Asian News International (ANI) tweeted from its Twitter account saying, "Metro not operational, station closed in Chandi Chowk due to a bomb scare. Bomb Disposal Squad making a sweep of the station."
However, later the news agency also tweeted, "Chandni Chowk metro is now open."
This was not the first time when bomb scare gripped Delhi Metro stations. Earlier in Apr 2011, security forces carried out an extensive check at the Anand Vihar Metro station after receiving a threatening call saying that bomb has been planted in the Metro station. However, later the call turned out to be a hoax.
After the deadly bomb blast out side the High Court of the city, security at all Delhi Metro stations were beefed up. Now, another bomb scare raised questions about the safety of the passengers and other people in the national capital.
