Deadly mid-day meal, 60 Bangalore students hospitalised
Students of Class 7, 8 and 9th standard, who had the mid day meal served in the school on Thursday, were taken to the near by KC General Hospital in Malleswaram for treatment. Teachers started noticing the issue when many students started vomiting and began complaining about nausea and stomach pain.
The doctors of the hospital informed, "Many students were fine after being given oral medication and will be discharged after further examination." Teachers claimed that this incident was the first of its kind in the school over mid day meal.
Meanwhile, Dr R Mallikarjunaiah, Paediatrician informed that it was a mild case of infection and all students will be fine after proper medication. All students were kept under observation for 6-7 hours on Thursday and many of them were discharged the same day evening.
