Rajasthan: Bhanwari's watch, tooth found in canal

Jaloda, Rajasthan, Jan 7: After scouring the Rajiv Gandhi canal where Bhanwari Devi, the missing nurse's remains were dumped, police divers found her watch and tooth.

Om Prakash and Kailash Jakhar, who belonged to Bishnaram Bishnoi gang had confessed to the CBI that they burnt her body in a crater but her watch was intact.

The CBI had also found sharp edged weapons and two pistols in a gunny bag from the canal. The bag has been sent for forensic examination. Read More: Inside details into Bhanwari Devi's abduction and murder

Bhanwari had gone missing since Sept 1. She was allegedly abducted on that day when she went to meet Sohan Lal Bishnoi to receive the payment of Rs 50 lakh over the deal on the sex CD that featured her with the sacked Water Resources Minister Mahipal Maderna.

According to sources, her body was burnt near Jaloda village in a deep crater and the ashes were dumped in the nearby canal.

Mahipal Maderna, former Water Resources Minister was arrested on Dec 3 in the case. Amarchand, Bhanwari's husband had also confessed to his part in the crime.
