Pre-paid subscribers to get call details

New Delhi, Jan 7: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has made it compulsory for all public and private mobile operators to provide pre-paid users updates of calls made and data downloads every time they use voice and data service, reports

According to media reports, cellphone operators will have to send the details through SMS including duration of calls, quantity of data use by mobile internet, charges deducted and remaining balance.

Furthermore, TRAI has also asked telecom operators to provide item-wise data on subscribers calls and data use within 30 days after users request with a charge not more than Rs 50.
