Kumaraswamy in trouble; complaint filed in Lokayukta court

Bangalore, Jan 2: A complaint was filed against HD Kumaraswamy, JDS leader in the Lokayukta Special Court on Monday, Jan 2 in a land denotification case during his tenure as Chief Minister of Karnataka.

After BS Yeddyurappa, Kumaraswamy is the second chief minister from the state who has been alleged of irregularities in denotification of land.

The complaint against Kumaraswamy was filed by Madhuswamy who accused him of denotifying 3.8 acres in Thanisandra village. A complaint against Former minister C Chennigappa has also been made following his involvement in land denotification case.

According to the petitioner Kumaraswamy in Oct 2007 ordered that the land be denotified, few days before the JDS-BJP coalition government came down after BJP withdrew support to the party.

Others involved in illegal land scam and fighting legal battle are former minister SN Krishnaiah Setty, Housing Minister V. Somanna, Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani and BJP MLAs CT Ravi and Nehru Olekar.
