Lokpal in Parl: PM smiles as Lalu mocks ailing Anna Hazare

New Delhi, Dec 27: Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad once again rocked the Parliament on Dec 27 when he delivered his speech on Anna Hazare's fast for Lokpal Bill and proposed to bring a Save Anna Campaign.

Lalu's innovative proposal to bring a save Anna campaign even made the PM grin as he was seen enjoying the speech delivered by Lalu. The former Bihar CM claimed that all Indians should get together to save Anna who has been pursuing fasts several times since the last year. He showed his (Lalu's) concern to Anna's ailing health condition.

Mocking the Prime Minister, Lalu Prasad urged Manmohan Singh to pass the Lokpal Bill and he will readily make him (the PM) the 'Lokpal'. "Bring a strong Lokpal, we will make you the Lokpal," Lalu brought the proposal to the PM.

"Supremacy of Parliament must be protected," said Lalu while slamming Team Anna saying, "You (government) have created this problem by entertaining those (Team Anna) who will never be satisfied."

Showing his disagreement with the proposal of including investigative agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under the ambit of Lokpal, Lalu said, "CBI should not be under Lokpal at any cost. We had heard Draupadi had five husbands. Now, CBI will have nine husbands?"
