Now Tatkal tickets available for Duronto trains

New Delhi, Dec 20: Indian Railways soon will come up with a magnificent offer which will give people facilities to book tatkal tickets for Duronto trains. From Apr 2012, the facilities in the premier rail service will be extended, informed officials of the Railway Ministry on Tuesday, Dec 20.

Extending the facilities for the railway passengers, the Ministry also decided to allow 'Aadhaar' card as another Identity card(ID card) to book tatkal tickets just 24-hours before the scheduled date of the journey.

A senior official at Railway Ministry informed, "The Tatkal ticket booking facility will be available for all Duronto Express trains from April 1, 2012 as necessary instructions to this effect have been issued to all zonal railways."

The charges of the tatkal tickets for the duronto trains will be same as it is applicable for other mail or express trains, informed the officials.

Allowing Aadhaar card as another ID proof along with voter ID, pan card, passport, driving license, student identity card, nationalised bank passbook with photograph, credit cards are other proofs, will give the passengers the facility to book the train tickets online (e-tickets) as it is used under Tatkal scheme.
