MP hurt in Parliament, taken to hosp in stretcher

New Delhi, Dec 15: Lok Sabha was adjourned for 15 minutes on Thursday, Dec 15 when an RJD MP, Uma Shanker Singh fell near Speaker Meira Kumar's chair and received a head injury.

Parliament staff along with other MPs rushed 71-year-old Singh to the hospital in stretcher.

Meira Kumar was seen supervising others in carefully handling the issue within the premise of the Parliament.

Singh is a member from Mahararajganj in Bihar and a Member of Parliament (MP) from RJD party.

According to sources, Singh was trying to reach the place near the podium of the Speaker, but fell on the staircase and received the head injury.
