Rajasthan: CBI arrests 13 people in Communal riots

New Delhi, Dec 12: The CBI on Sunday arrested 13 people in connection with communal riots in Bharatpur in Sept which left ten people dead and 40 injured.

The clashes took place between Mev Muslim community and Gujjars over a land-related dispute. The riots intensified after the police firing.

The National Commission for Minorities had held the state government responsible for the riots following which the CBI inquiry was directed by the Ashok Gehlot government.
