Kiran Bedi demands inclusion of CBI under Lokpal

"More than the Prime Minister, it is the CBI in Lokpal which will make it effective. Let's not get distracted. A united Opposition can call the bluff," she said.
She further said that the CBI under Lokpal meant exposing corruption and said that the Lokpal was supposed to replace government's control over CBI.
Her comments came after the Parliamentary Standing Committee came up with three options over the issue of bringing the Prime Minister under the Lokpal ambit and leaving it to the Parliament to decide on the final choice.
Team Anna has been adamant over the fact that the lower bureaucracy be included in setting up of the Lokayukta by a citizen's charter and central law in the Lokpal Bill.
Team Anna members and supporters have been rubbishing allegations over the exclusion of Prime Minister saying that the law does not provide any immunity to Prime Minister and the post should be covered by Lokpal.
