Karunanidi receives Kanimozhi at Chennai airport

Chennai, Dec 3: Kanimozhi arrived in Chennai on Saturday, Dec 3. DMK chief M Karunanidi personally went to receive his daughter at the airport, who is coming back home for the first time since her arrest by CBI.

Homecoming for Kanimozhi; DMK set to party

DMK MP Kanimozhi is likely to reach Tamil Nadu on Saturday, Dec 3 by a private airlines. This would be her first visit after she was grated bail in 2G spectrum scam case.

The delighted father, DMK chief M Karunanidhi said that they have planned for a party to welcome his daughter, who had spent about 6 months behind the bars in Tihar Jail for her alleged involvement in the biggest scam that the nation had ever seen, 2G case.

Karunanidhi said, "I am happy that Kanimozhi has been granted bail. She spoke to me soon after the court gave her bail and both of us shared the happiness."

When asked whether Kanimozhi would be given a new post in DMK, the former CM, Karunanidhi, suggested that the party members shall decide on this regards.

Kanimozhi is to remain in her home till Dec 6 and will again head back to Delhi on Dec 10 to attend the trial of 2G case.

Kanimozhi was arrested by CBI on May 20, this year along with four others related to 2G case. And all the accused were granted bail on Nov 28, 2011 by the Delhi High Court.
