Kanimozhi to be DMK’s face in Delhi?

Chennai, Nov 29: DMK MP, Kanimozhi, is set to take a bigger role in DMK central committee, who was granted bail on 2G allocation scam on Monday (Nov 28). Sources said that she could emerge a strong contender for DMK central leadership.

Meanwhile, DMK supremo, M Karunanidhi said, “The party will soon decide on giving a new position to Kanimozhi." According to leading political commentators and people close to Karunanidhi, DMK supremo would entrust Kanimozhi with more serious responsibilities.

According to an observer who is close to Kani, “Six months in jail have changed Kanimozhi a lot. The image given by the DMK leaders that she is innocent has made a big impact among party cadre and they are even ready to accept her as Karunanidhi"s political heir."

The fact that Karunanidhi's both sons, Stalin and Alagiri still need some more time to resume their political image in the state, also adds to her benefit. According to the source, performance of former Fertilizer Minister, Stalin both inside and outside the assembly are below expectations. Going with these issues, Kanimozhi could be made the face of DMK in New Delhi henceforth. She might be bestowed with the position soon after her arrival at Chennai.
