CRPF men rape, 12-yr-old mentally challenged delivers baby

Hyderabad, Nov 15: A 12-year-old mentally challenged girl, who is deaf and mute, was gang raped by three CRPF jawans in an orphanage near Hyderabad. The victim, who was 7-months pregnant delivered a still-baby on Saturday, Nov 12.

All the three accused have been arrested by the Warangal police in Andhra Pradesh. According to Warangal SP Rajesh Kumar, the three accused were seen visiting the orphanage frequently and have been arrested over suspicion. The Sai Vikas Home and School for Mentally Retarded is located near the CRPF camp in the region.

Sources also reported that the mentally challenged teenage girl might have been raped continuously for 7 months. The orphanage authorities came to know about the pregnancy when she was brought to hospital after complaining of stomach pain.

Orphanage authorities also feared that other five inmates of the girls' hostel might have endured sexual assault by the three accused CRPF officials.
