YSR widow v/s Naidu:HC asks CBI to probe illegal assets

Hyderabad, Nov 14: Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday, Nov 14 ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate in the "illegal" assets possessed by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief, Chandrababu Naidu.

The recent attack came on the TDP supremo after the widow of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy (YSR), Y S Vijayalakshmi filed a petition against Naidu seeking probe on him (Naidu) as he allegedly owns illegal assets.

Moving the High Court, Vijayalakshmi had accused Naidu of holding huge undeclared assets in the names of his wife and son, besides those of other party leaders.

However, Naidu had declared details of his assets including his family members in order to build an image of cleared politician. Now, the high court's decision to deploy the CBI to probe his assets would definitely mar his image.
