Google plays kids' music on Children's Day with Doodle

New Delhi, Nov 14: While India celebrates Children's Day on Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday on Nov 14, the technology giant - Google presented a gift to kids after feting the day with doodle which was created by 7-year-old Varsha Gupta who won "Doodle For Google" competition in 2011.

Google officials earlier had announced that it would display the special Doodle done by Varsha on Children's Day on the home page of the search engine giant. Varsha delineates India's culture which is empowered with its music.

The 3rd standard student of Ryan International School in Greater Noida depicts the Doodle with Tabla, Sarod, Veena, Shehnai and Ghunghur which reminds all Indians about their traditional music.

Winning the competition, Varsha said, "India is a land of different cultures. In India Music plays a very important role. India has given many musical instruments to the world. Example: Tabla, Sarod, Veena, Shehnai etc."

Google always comes up with innovative Doodles reminding its viewers about special events, days, occasions, life of great artists and scientists.

This time Google celebrated the special day for children with Varsha's Doodle capturing the essence of Indian tradition and culture along with music.
