Congress Seva Dal demands ban on Advani's yatra in JK

Jammu, Nov 10: Jammu and Kashmir Congress Seva Dal on Thursday urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to ban BJP leader L K Advani's rath yatra from entering the state.

"We request Chief Minister to take stern action against Advani and his supporters and issue an order to ban his rath yatra in Jammu and Kashmir," Pradesh Congress Seva Dal chief Balbinder Singh Sambyal told reporters here.

"If Advani and his supporters do not abide by that order, they should be detained and sent back to Delhi," he said. Opposing the Advani's yatra which will arrive in Jammu on November 16, he said it would "disturb peace and hurt communal integrity" in the state.

"If Chief Minister does not ban this yatra, Seva Dal workers will come on the road and burn Advani's effigy in all towns. He will be welcomed with black flags," he warned.
